That's a tough question. While I loved The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and to a lesser extent The Girl Who Played With Fire I was a bit disappointed with The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. It does wrap the trilogy up nicely but lacked the mystery and suspense of the first 2 films. I haven't decided yet myself if I'll be picking up the trilogy or just the first film. I suggest watching them first before deciding for yourself. As good as the story is I'm not sure if I need to own it due to how often I'd actually revisit these.

It will be interesting to see if Fincher can top the originals. If anyone can it's Fincher.

To celebrate 50,000 Facebook fans Criterion posted a promo code for 50% off all in-stock DVDs and Blu-rays at Criterion.com -- the code will only be valid for 50,000 seconds!

Promotion code is THANKS and it's 50% off FULL MSRP, not 50% off the regular Criterion store price.

You beat me to it!

I just ordered:

Broadcast News
Charade
Cronos
Modern Times
Videodrome
Yojimbo/Sanjuro

I only buy Criterion titles during B & N semi-annual 50% off sale, so this was pretty cool, and free shipping to boot!

Sucks I had A Thin Red Line and Yojimbo/Sanjuro in my cart but before I could finalize my order they both went out of stock.

Aaahhh, Thin Red Line, I missed that one!!

Oh well, I'll get it next time, I think B & N should be having another sale in a few months.

So what did you get??

Unfortunately, nothing.

All I wanted was A Thin Red Line, Yojimbo/Sanjuro box set and Seven Samurai. Only Seven Samurai is in stock now and unless you spend over $50 you don't get free shipping. Oh well. Guess I'll wait for the B & N sale.

Well, I'm lucky I got the Yojimbo/Sanjuro set then! They had them separately, but I'm not sure if it worked out to the same price or not.

There's just a few Criterion titles I want. So hopefully by the next sale I'll finish up my want list.
