If they don't do this for the other 2, why for this one? I doubt for breakage reasons, other companies can do it.
Chris
They didn’t lower shipping costs. This was charged by dimensional weight. Someone paid $154 to east coast US.

You could’ve also got your deposit back because of the excessive shipping cost.

Another thing that bothered me with this in the first place. That's like having a Batarang sticking out of Superman.

Watching the video reviews of this piece and it's becoming very clear that SS used PVC / Vinyl to eliminate potential breakage of those spikes. IMO they should have focused on upgrading the shipping container and made this thing out of polystone like Prime 1

This has become a very painful $1400 lesson for me. The more I inspect this statue, the more disappointment I encounter. Yesterday I pushed down the spikes on his shoulder and all the other spikes moved down with it as well. Then I pushed on his upper back and it was easily indentable. And after 3 days, the strong rubber smell is still there. I have to think about returning him now.

Man sorry to hear...get a full refund. Get your shipping and deposit back too, should not have surprises like this.

maybe listing materials only is not good enough anymore, if half the statue is going to be pvc i think it should be stated that way imo

Maybe SS is trying to subvert collectors expectations

I agree.

I wonder what happens when this statue is displayed where the temperature is +30°.

It will not only smell even more.
