It should be noted Leto's quote was completely taken out of context in the above article. In short his "F**ck Em" was in reference to not being able to rock climb as a term of his contract. While he has expressed disappointment in how his role was minimized the comment wasn't related to that and seemed more of a playful quip than a slam on WB. He hasn't even seen the film yet. You can read the full explanation in the below article.

He is def displeased ,you can see it in other interviews as well. He's like visibly annoyed.
What I found intriguing is Margot Robbie not wanting to sit next to him when they did the Conan interview and also the fact that he was distant from the group when they were just dancing around when they entered. Carla evem tells her "U will get fired"

He supposedly gave her a rat, a dead pig and used condoms. To me it would be weirder if she wanted to sit next to him.

BvS and to a lesser degree MoS, were both heavily criticized by critics and bitter fanboys as being "too dark!" Enter Suicide Squad, a film that by its very nature is dark and would benefit from being a little more hard edged than your typical superhero film. WB/DC hires a Director that can bring exactly that to the big screen given his resume and from the sounds of it he filmed a movie in that very vein. In an effort to please fans and critics that insisted the DCEU needed to be "more fun" the film was heavily edited. As a result scenes that highlighted the abusive relationship between Joker and Harley were omitted as were several other key Joker scenes.

The film Leto was told he was making and the role he completely poured himself into were minimized and the core of his character downplayed. He has every right to be upset IMO. All that being said I enjoyed the film we got but certainly yearned for more of the things we saw in the trailers, specifically the Joker. If a film ever deserved an extended edition it's this one. Unfortunately it would end up being a completely different film rather than an expansion of the existing one and Ayer himself has stated this is "his cut" of the film despite common sense telling us otherwise.
I don't think so HB, I've been catching up with all this and it is really lame that WB/DC and DC 'groupies' try to blame critics and fans(objective, passionate, exaggerate, etc.) for not being able to deliver really good movies.

I wish they would've listened-since MOS- to those important and valid critics(of critics and 'bitter' fans) that were about characterization, to get the character right-to really 'get that thing' that makes it great- and not about the tone.

In the case of SS you mention the real question is, even if all those Joker scenes were included, was it really enough to improve 'the rest of the story' and make this movie really good instead of 'just o.k.'-at least-? I don't think so, I really don't.

I guess that's staying in character...I'm trying to imagine Batman opening a box of used condoms and sticky porno mags. ...I'm sure they appreciated it.

Overindulgent nonsense in the name of method acting.
Once I heard all the nonsense that he was upto ,I had a feeling that he would take it too far and oh boy did he push it. And WB was like Omg look how crazy Leto is blah blah blah, and I reckon he did work hard at it but he went way overboard with it.I think he still is a good fit and I love his look but calm the f&@k down man, take it easy , get rid of that stupid laugh and be malevolent not bat---- crazy all the time and in every scene.

After seeing the animated Suicide Squad, the movie really didn't live up to the potential and dynamics of the group. I did like the actors for Harley, Deadshot and the Lady Boss (Davis) but really pity Katana, Captain Boomerang and that army guy in love with Enchantress.
But not a total bad movie, just wishing more substance and action. 3 out of 5.

How many times can a studio stick it's hand into a film and ruin it before they decide to make a change? We saw Sony do it with Amazing Spider-Man 2 and that led to reverting Spider-Man back to Marvel. We saw FOX do it with Fantastic Four and that movie will sit without a sequel, and I'm willing to bet Fantastic Four gets a soft reboot during the MCU's Infinity War arc. Warner Bros needs to start putting some trust in the directors with these movies.
