I went with economy. I guess I'm in the minority. I don't have a spot to display him right now so was fine waiting another month since he'll stay in the box awhile anyway. $100 saved

Well another received his one and said that he thinks that paint on the face looks "bad", not like the proto.
and based on his pictures, yeah i agree, he looks very bland on the forehead and the chin. Almost looks like a recast.
Hopefully we will get better pictures and video soon.

just paid my invoice, im going to pair him with SS wolvie and SS colossus, should make for a dynamic trio. Ideally I was going to wait for Beast sculpt but who knows whenever that will get made.

It could be bad lighting but who knows, it could also be another case of a bad batch from XM but I'll wait until I get mine and see for myself...

The pics a few pages back and the more recent pics seem to look the same with just different lighting. Even in the initial pics, it seemed to me that the nonscreaming portrait seemed a bit plain. Still excited for it though because I think the alternate portrait and the rest of the piece turned out real well.

I have a feeling this will be decisive as far as the paint application with the portrait. From those pictures it looks like an average application. To be fair, it doesn't torpedo the statue as normally no one looks at these under a microscope once displayed but it does deserve to be mentioned. Then again it could be just this guys statue.

Ya could be that the lighting or that maybe some of the portraits on some batches look flat. The rage face looks fine, but the serious one doesn't look like much shading was done.

I'm cool with one face going a bit light on the paint apps. It actually sort of fits with the way many XM portraits tend to look. There's a quality about them that sets them apart from Sideshow. They tend to be a bit understated. Cable, for example, has a similar look and I love his portrait.

Yes, I selected Economy, and I estimated about 2 months. Since I've waited over a year already, few more months would not be a problem. Just find another hobby for the next few months.
