1. Which method of chrome plating was used?
Triple chrome plate, copper, nickel and chrome over resin. Cold to the touch and super durable. Once it was true chrome finish without the yellow clear coat.
2. How Accurate was Sideshow's first version?
The version 1 was right from my original masters and the clean version was pretty nice. I even made the masters for the Endorifle as well.
2. How many of the clean chrome versions were made?
No Idea, I'd guess a few hundred....

Hi, Paul.I just wanted to ask, is the 1/4 Arnold statue still on track to be unveiled/up for pre order on the 25th of May, and can you say if the regular version will be under $1000?

Paul,
Do you know if that is how the original ICONS endoskull was done? It seemed to have a really good, cold, chrome finish as well.

Paul, what confused me was the quote from the website about sideshow pieces :
"Just a note for collectors wanting to own original T1 or T2 endoskeleton parts of pieces. NONE of the parts were triple chrome plated, they should not be real metal plated and cold to the touch. The actual parts were vacuum-metalized like chrome parts from a model car. You can actually dent or scratch the chrome with your fingernail. There are a lot of fake parts going around, please be careful when buying these pieces. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask."
But you say the original sideshow clean version WAS triple plate and should be cold to the touch!
I'm still confused, what is not triple plated then?

Hang on......I think you mean original PROP parts from T1 & T2, not original Sideshow parts, right??
So sideshow clean chrome V1 version was triple plated but actual original props were not??

Yes all original screen used parts were vaccum metalized, all prop replicas have been triple chrome plate.
About a year ago when we tried to get a T2 license we wanted to make a true blue cast from an original Endoskull and have it vacuum plated, well the licensor wanted nothing to do with it.
I guess I set the bar to high....
