I was a bit on the fence about this guy,when I first saw him,,but the more photos of him has alleviated my fears,and makes me want him even more! This is one statue that SCREAMED to have a light up feature! The Balrog in the movie which was made of Fire and shadow,in my opinion was only recreated in statue form as a big reptilian creature and not the glowing spirit of Fire which he was. the sideshow versions which are incredible mind you,would have been truelly awesome if they could have utilized a light up feature which Gentle Giant has incorporated. Considering the Balrog is one of the most memorable creations from the Lord of the Rings,I'm just happy he has been finally represented in his correct ,firey form...go,Gentle Giant

WOW i got this bust today.... amazing!!!!!!!!!

can any one take a pic of the right arm (left as you look at it from the front) when lit up
mine has a bright white spot on his arm under the wing. I dont know if it is a spine/spike broken or a flaw on the bust. I dont want to send it back if its normal.....
if someone can let me know asap i would appreciate it!!

i have some in tiny areas. it's normal and nothing to be too concerned about. you can't tell it's there when the light is back on. this balrog rocks!

I have a few spots on my Balrog like this as well. I can't say for sure if it was intentionally done this way but they don't bother me. It just looks like the Balrog is burning white hot in certain areas. Which I thought was kind of cool but like I said I have no idea if that was GG's intention but its a good enough explanation for me.  .

I just received mine and am very happy with it. I also have a few white spots around where it looks like the arms might have been attached - doesn't bother me at all. This thing looks awesome in pitch black!
