Two people Is my advice haha.
My partner and I did it together at the time when we first put it together. Now that I'm single, I'm dreading doing it again once I get this guy out of storage haha

Strangely enough I let it sit all day and just tried pushing it in gently after work and it went in flush. I've noticed the nails on the right foot are scraped on the tips, but I don't think I would have damaged them while trying to fit it in. Wondering if they were already damaged.

You don't need two people to do it. I did it by myself. It was easier than I thought. Haven't scraped anything because I covered his toes with paper towel. The trick was to keep his legs as level as possible to the base. Two pins at the same time. Fits like a glove.
