I would probably do the same. Too much hassle to worry about the city modes that I would never display him in.
About to pull the trigger on a Quakewave, my first 3P.

My first Japanese Takara Tomy Transformers in my collection. At least Optimus Prime won't be lonely anymore. It's an official licensed product from Nissan. Haven't had the time to transform into Robot Mode yet. Always loved Prowl, one of the Autobots always seen in the original animation series.

I am concerned that Prowl and Sideswipe might not ever make it state side. Really close to pulling the trigger on the Takara versions.

Their markup is ridiculous. Anime Export has it up for PO for less than $900. That said, it's not worth nearly that much to me. My custom OP statue is doing me just fine as far as non-transforming TFs go.

Yeah, I think the ship has sailed. Hasbro must not be interested in the licensing fees associated. I've got Swipe and Prowl and then recently bought the KO version of Red Alert. I've never owned a KO before but saw enough positive feedback and the price ($40) was right. He is a character I could have lived without for full retail, but the KO is really nice for the price.

Yeah, I am going to have to just order the Takara's while I still can.

Lol....crooks. I see they are saying they found a lower cost supplier. Either that, or they realized multiple places had it up for order for $400 less so the jig was up.
