The trademark is for the name Dejah Thoris. That doesn’t include any aspects of the character, only the name.
As I mentioned before, the legality of that trademark is dubious. A legal challenge could be made that a character name from a public domain work of fiction can not be trademarked. But a legal challenge costs money, and no one has yet made that challenge against the estate.
I’m only guessing, but I suspect the estate threatened to sue, and Sideshow figured the name is meaningless at this point. Everyone knows the Martian princess is Dejah Thoris.
As for the price, isn’t it less than the going rate for a PF these days?
