I really like how Dc implemented the "legends of the dark knight" series and the new one that superman is getting.

Your always going to have "" Old Timers "" who can't adjust and just dwell on the past... A lot of old time trekkies were freaked out about JJ Abrams rebooting Star Trek, but his reboot put new life in the franchise and actually made Star Trek Cool...
I think it's the same with the New 52, my nephew who never read comics before heard about the reboot and is now a fan of several of the comics from the New 52... Heck I've even gotten back into several of the Batman comics and the last time I picked up a comic was over 20 years ago....
The Reboot allows new customers to feel like their getting in at the beginning... It's tough to jump into Superman 700 when you have no idea what happen in the 699 issues before it.....
The cold bottom line is old fans are just that old, they won't be around forever and if DC wants to survive they gotta get the next generation of kids to start reading their product.

Don't know if that's true.
My first comic ever was Avengers 167...I had never read any "superhero" comics before, but it was seeing all those colorful characters together that pulled me in...Eventhough I sorta jumped in in the middle, I learned all about it eventually, and for me, this was part of the fun: "Are there more comics like this? Are there more characters like this?" It's what I love about comics...
I still have to agree with Stan Lee: Don't mess / change the old characters, just create cool new ones!. 'Nuff Said.
