Both poses are cool. Slight edge to XM's lunging/attacking pose but I think the PF is higher due to the base and that's a plus. And the ss displays how energetic and acrobatic Venom is to be a larger guy which is cool.

Style - I'm not a fan of the PF's texture and XM's is more of the classic style I prefer for Venom. It probably won't make a difference but I'm lobbying for a smooth PF variant more like the old Larsen/McFarlane art and that would be a must buy.

Heads - i like all of the heads between XM and SS but ss's regular head I like the least. The classic head I really dig but even still, that texture takes away from it for me.

Price - we all know how expensive XMs are. My ongoing dilemma with XM is does the statue justify how much I'll spend VS other options? I like the XM Venom more than ss, but the ss isn't a bad statue. I don't think it's settling to buy a cheaper statue I still like vs paying more for a statue I like a little more but don't think it's personally worth paying that amount for.


Would like to see this next to Spidey. I hope when gallery pics are released we can get a clear pic of them together without extreme photoshopping or weird angles like the completely unhelpful Spidey/Goblin pic in GG's gallery.

You could always wait until Prime 1 reveals their Venom before deciding. I imagine it will be more expensive than SS's version, but cheaper than XM's and without all the hassles involved with trying to acquire one.

So, this Prime 1 version. Is this going to be a 1/3 piece like all their Batman pieces? If so, I don't understand why people who want 1/4 would buy this.

Prime 1's Marvel license is for 1/4 scale statues, not 1/3 scale.

I want to try and hold out to see P1 first but I think they will have a big dio type base which I'm not really into. Still would be nice to get an update before making any decisions.

Unfortunately, Prime 1 seems to be painfully slow where sneak peeks/reveals are concerned. But I believe they would be wise to update collectors prior to SS launching their Venom.
