The Vikings were all over the place. Their origin is Scandinavia. They have created settlements in Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland. They've travelled far from their homelands in their longships and pretty much mixed in with the world where they travelled. I believe them to be the very first of the great sea travellers. I'm pretty sure they had a passage to the East before Marco Polo. I don't care what anybody says!

 Good one, VR. I've often wondered that myself. They probablay hated it when us hellish Americans took this thread over. I am half Viking afterall. That's the part of my heritage that I embrace more strongly.

Thank you Barbarian. I've always been interested in the Scandinavian lands and their people. Would love to visit there.
