I think the intent of the joke was lost on that one.
Apparently they were handing those beads out at NYCC like candy, and TheSkrull put those in the box with everything else.
I certainly didn't ask for them, it was just a joke.

I don't think anyone was offended, Mike. We were just sort of startled by the fact that those would be sent to you, let alone HANDED OUT AT A CON. Holy geez.

It's actually a book promotion. The guy that wrote Fight Club wrote a new one, and somehow that ties in. I'm sure they aren't butt beads, but they really look like 'em.
