In the Super Sons comics Damian always looked angry and serious but Superboy usually had a goofy smile on his face like it was all fun and games to him...
I do agree that a more serious look on his face would fit the statue better...

It's not a problem Jonathan is smiling or not. He doesn't look like that in the comics. Look at those round cheeks. I didn't like P1 Jonathan Kent, neither this one.
However is cape is more accurate than P1.
