Thanks guys,
The prototype that I made was resin and chrome plated. I believe DCD wanted to go the same route but I'm not sure what may be the end result, if any.

THis is a 1:1 scale prop, it is made to fit most peoples heads.

I went on a quest for this information about a month ago, and I finally found an answer thanks to Julius Marx (operator of Action Figure Insider):

The Fate helmet *is* coming out! Julius asked DC Direct reps at the New York Toy Fair back in February 2006; and as you can see, those reps stated that the helmet was about 95% ready for production and will be solicited fairly soon.

i saw this at sdcc and have been watching dc direct ever since. i usually dont get this type of item but this is do awsome i have to get it.

I love this helment prop!
I would totally buy this...
My only hope is that the base is strong enough to hold the helmet over time. The base for the Factory X Iron Man helmet was so cheap.
