I am tired of lowering the bar to tolerate DC. They are so rarely excellent that I have started to get excited about the mediocre. No more!!!! DC, get out of the statue business. You control the rights to A+ characters, and you are producing D- statues. You should be ashamed. You are being totally out classed by Marvel. You look like a bunch of fools in this statue game. I have been encouraging you for years to step up, and occasionally you guys throw me a bone, but I have had it. Give it up and let the professionals take over. Give a license to Sideshow or Bowen or both. I want a 1/4 scale Alex Ross Superman that doesn't look like poo dammit.

Don't forget that this will share the <6" height of an action figure as well based on the preceeding Batman.

One of the few DC statues I actually think looks pretty sweet. It's an old school superman, has that rougher look to it.

I was thinking the same thing. Definitely looks like 40's Supes.

Here's the original thread about it started by the sculptor Tim Bruckner.

I totally agree...Even Warner Brother's produce far better looking statues. Who is making the call to contiune this. As for me the only business DC gets from me is the Cover Girl line...

Come on Bowen or Sideshow or hell what about Hard Hero give it a shot---make a Man of Steel statue---

You must be confused with "that is a dead Superman
Zombie", that thing looks nothing like 1940s Superman,
and I am saying this as some one that usually buys all of DC classic statues, except this one that is.
This is what 1940s Superman really looks like.

See? Happy Face, square jaws, no wrinkles
no frankenstein forehead, long curl in the front,
no elephant ears and surely no receding hair.

Look and compare.

I wish Bowen took over DC direct
we would finally get some good statues and busts.

Who knows now that Levitz is on its way out the door things might change, some how I don't think it could possibly get any worse then this, once you hit bottom the only way to go is up.
