I didn't any of the 14 hotels on my list. Went to hotels.com and booked an inn near Sea World. I'll still have to drive and park at the convention center. Which is OK, since I am driving to San Diego I'll have my car, and with my car nearby, i can dump off stuff I'll buy.

It's a nightmare trying to get parking at the convention center. Actually it's a nightmare trying to park anywhere downtown during the convention.

Its 5:30am now. I'm not sure what the heck I'm doing up.  No point in trying to go back to sleep now since I have to go to work in about an hour anyways.

i took to long to fill mine out but then again i only did 5 choice since this was my first time so i didn't get any of them. Im just hoping my friends place is still an option as that was always my first choice

The parking structure next to the convention center helps. I'll just leave the hotel early, park and then sleep a few hours in the car. I'll do that fri, sat and sun, but on thurs, i will have to get in line to get my badge.
I've learned if you wait until about 15 after the floor opens, you can usually walk in any entrance. So if you are not in a mad dash to get collectibles, there's no reason to wait in that long line.
