Oh man ....Avatar: The Way of Water ...7.5/10
Not really sure what to think about this movie. Digesting it still, I guess. The CG was excellent ..which was expected. Not sure the story sits well with me tho. Not sure if it retained the same heart of the first movie as well. Definitely didn't leave the theater feeling impressed like the first one. For now giving it a 7.5.

The Forgotten Battle 8/10 good WWII flick. Great action scenes.

The Shop Around the Corner (1940) - Two employees at a gift shop can barely stand each other, without realizing that they are falling in love through the post as each other's anonymous pen pal. 7/10
La Buche (1999) - Following the recent death of her second husband, for Christmas, Yvette tries to meet the three daughters from her first marriage with Stanislas, the gypsy violinist, again. During the preparations, questions and revelations are well underway from Louba, the artist, Sonia, the middle child and Milla, the rebel. 7/10

Holiday movies part 2:

Phantom Thread (2017) - Set in 1950s London, Reynolds Woodcock is a renowned dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman, Alma, who becomes his muse and lover. 10/10

Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) - Jake Sully lives with his newfound family formed on the extrasolar moon Pandora. Once a familiar threat returns to finish what was previously started, Jake must work with Neytiri and the army of the Na'vi race to protect their home.
It looks amazingly slick of course, but the story is so incredibly ordinary. Yawn. 6/10
