8 pounds chicken meat with bones
8 pounds boneless pork roast
10 large onions, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
6 pounds potatoes - peeled and cubed
2 cups butter
2 quarts half-and-half cream
2 gallons milk
Directions
1.Place the turtle, chicken and pork meat into separate pots with enough water to cover the meat. Bring each one to a boil, and cook until tender. Discard the water from the turtle and pork, but save the chicken stock. Debone all of the meat, tear or cut into bite-size pieces, and set aside.
2.In a very large stockpot, combine the three meats, onion and reserved chicken stock. Bring to a boil, and cook until the onions are tender, about 45 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Potatoes can be prepared during this time.
3.Add the potatoes and butter to the stockpot, and cook for about 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are not quite cooked through. Reduce heat to low, and let the soup simmer down. Stir in the half and half cream and milk. Bring the soup to a simmer, and cook for about 15 minutes. Be careful not to curdle the dairy by getting it too hot. Serve soup hot with crackers.

Thanks Rod.
Here's the adults.
Female.
2 males trying to get it on with a female.
This male has been living in my yard since like 1985. He was found in the street after some woods were torn down near by to build new homes.

Those are cool pics! My youngest girl would love it if we had turtles in our backyard.

The day before my wedding I was driving down the road and saw a snapping turtle trying to cross. A truck on the other side went right over it and I thought it was going to get killed - so I stopped and got out to help it. It was a snapping turtle - and I know what those things can do - so I was looking for a stick or something to help me push it along - when another truck pulled up and the man got out and scooped the turtle up by his tail. I told him I was just going to get it to the other side of the street. The man responded by saying "I'm gonna eat him!" and with that he threw the turtle in the back of his truck andsped off. I was stunned - and a little grossed out...

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

When I was growing up our mailman paid me a 5 dollars for every Snapping Turtle I could catch. He said it was "good eatin'". And you are right they can be dangerous, a full size Snapper can take a finger off.
