At $440 I am priced out of Sideshow, and $440 is completely unacceptable with Sideshow's QC problem. I'm hoping that this also prices others out as well so Sideshow learns they need to chill out with their price hikes before another company takes them out.
I realize this piece has had it's fair share of controversy over time but I was needing a Thor and have always been partial to the Modern Aged version. I really cannot afford to grab the XM one with the Destroyer Droid base but this one has always been cool in pictures. To be honest, it is soooooo much better in person. The details on the base are great!!, the details on the armor is great and his pose is actually pretty awesome in person. Love the sculpted cape. I am so very happy that there are no technical issues to speak of....the left arm fits perfect and the seam connection seems "seamless" LOL!!!, the base additional piece truly helps to better balance the piece and it actually looks cool and damaged. I also think that he fits great with the Avengers I currently have as well. But at the end of the day, the Modern Aged version is my fave.
The sword is actually pretty awesome as well. I just will be displaying it with Mjolnir.
