Hold on a sec! This is the first I've heard of Prime 1 (or anyone else) getting the licence to do FF7 stuff, SE are notoriously protective of their IP's.
Where did the rumour/confirmation come from? I can't find anything...

Don't know either. There wasn't an official reveal until now as far as I know.
Just wishes of the fans the last month on FB to bring it, so UNTIL NOW it's not confirmed but personally I would bet that they'll get the licence.

P1 made a thread back when they were active here with a quote from the game, so it wasn't just hearsay.

November could be our first look at something so I'm pinning some hopes on that "Video Games 2" event.

I think this will be when we see something. Hopefully that RE2 line will get shown off as well.

Honestly if this actually happens I might well shed a tear or two.
For many years I have hoped and prayed that Square Enix would loosen it's grip on the licence and let a third party produce high end FF7 collectables. And for P1 to be the ones to have the honour is the stuff of dreams for me.

I don't remember them ever saying that for a license they said they had, just that things didn't work out.
