i dont know. ant-man can shrink or grow. he can make other thing shrink or grow. he can control ants. he carries an arsenal with him that is microscopic so he can carry plenty of stuff. he laso retains rwegular human strength when he shrinks.
atom can shrink himself and retains his regular strength
both have very limited fighting instructions due to being in the jla and avengers.they are both very smart.

He can shrink to I believe a subatomic level, can alter his weight while doing so and keeps his strength at a tiny size. The ants would do nothing to him as he could shrink to a size that they couldn't find him. It's really no contest. They're only matched together because their powers are similar.

Hmm. I still haven't heard a reason how Atom's power set (to get to atom-sized) beats Hank Pym, who can shrink, grow and shoot blasts.

Something that goes to the size of an ATOM and hits like a full size person. Isn't that enough?  Marvel loses this one. They're allowed to lose here and there.

Okay, here's just one Atom scenario, as an example. Atom shrinks small enough that he can climb into Ant Man's eardrum, then proceeds to do major damage from inside his head. Does no one remember the fate of Sue Dibny, after all? This would work regardless of how big or small Ant-Man happens to be at the time, because Atom can go anywhere from sub-atomic to man sized. So game over.

Sorry this one is a no-brainer. The Atom took out Darkseid. He can easily whip Hank Pym, giant or ant-size.
