John Byrne commission prices?

I see that JB does commissions through his website. Does anyone know what his prices are like? I sincerely doubt at this point my ability to find my grail piece, which is a specific Byrne page featuring Iron Fist, so I figure a commission is the best I'll ever get.

I think he starts out at something like $500.00 for a single character drawing (no background) and goes up from there. If you contact his rep, Jim Warden, I'm sure he will be happy to give you a breakdown of his fees. I used to have an email from him with that info, but can't seem to find it now.

Word of advice though, be very specific with what sort of thing you're looking for with him, there have been instances where he's dropped the ball a little with commissions lately!

Hope it all goes well though!

Yeah, I knew I could email Jim, but I'm not really ready to pursue the commission yet, so I didn't want to start initial contact yet. Thanks for the initial info on the pricing, though.

Sound advice for any commission. Thanks!

$500.00 for a single character and no background seems ridiculous. George Perez only charges a fraction of that.

Well, from what I hear about JB's opinion of himself, it sounds right in line with that.

Just think about what he charges for some of those 20x30 commissions with 10-12 characters (he charges per figure, BTW). Those things are beauties, but they've got to cost a fortune!

He just charges what people are willing pay.

No shortage of commissions on his site because of high prices.
