just came from McDonalds. i asked for medium fries, but they gave me large fries for making me wait.. more for less.. i like that

True, I was a member from Perth defending AH! but then it's expected given that I've known Adam since 1993 and moderated his Yahoo group since its inception 10 years ago

whoa...that makes it even worse...that Frost piece is top notch and he paid half...I definitely agree with the idea that if you were to pay over 3Gs for an auctioned piece...make it at least stand out...put a little kick in it or something...

And this seems to be the real issue. I'm surprised no one has actually said it until now. I've seen him do pieces from when he was doing the $200 rates a couple years ago that had more detail and took more time. While yes, the person is only getting a con sketch, AH has set the precedent of what he's willing to sketch at conventions. For $3000, he should be meeting the highest standard HE has set for his sketches. It doesn't need to be finished cover quality, but it should be the best of his convention sketches.
