I hope this isn't true. Cavill has been my favorite part of the DC movies, even though he wasn't the classic version of Superman in Man of Steel since Snyder wrote him as a brooding character, MOS is still my favorite of the DC movies so far.

With regards to Michael B. Jordan taking over the role of Superman, I'm not interested in any such change.

Cavill did good for what he was given but WB's live action superhero movie universe is currently a mess. To me it's not necessarily the casting its the writing and radical departure from the essence of their characters. With that said, I think he'd could make a good Captain America replacement with a dirty blonde dye job

Good British actors are fine for most things, Batman and Dr. Strange for instance, but for Captain “America”....you really need an American.

Seems like WB and Cavill are playing games with fans... All this has done is turn me off even more to DC movies..

Listening to WB explain the Supergirl movie as to why Superman won't make an appearance in it doesn't leave me filled with confidence about the movie.. They said that Kara Zor-El is a teenager and Kal-El would only be a baby so it's in a earlier timeline... This is accurate when they both first leave krypton but per the comics Kara Zor-El's pod is knocked off course, depending on the version of the comics you read her pod was stuck in the phantom zone for 20+ years before being knocked free and finally making it to earth but since she was in stasis she didn't grow older, that's why she's still a teen and Kal-El is now in his mid to late 20's...

But it seems for the movie that's not the case.. so now Supergirl would of been around 20+ some years on earth before Kal-El becomes Superman.. Even though that's never mentioned in any of the DC movies...

Seems like WB/DC is just rushing the movie out and could careless about the story making any sense..

The animated movies are the only things worth paying for.

I believe none of this as we have been constantly hearing conflicting reports from WB “insiders”.

It’s a slow news cycle and they are making news out of nothing. Is it possible MBJ was discussed in a pitch session? Sure, it’s possible, but that doesn’t mean WB is seriously considering it. There’s no reason to change ethnic look of Superman. If WB wants to use MBJ make him John Stewart GL or they can cast him as Icon. DC owns all the Milestone characters and they should seriously use them for both diversity and to bring something new to audiences.
