My main thing is that Gal Gadot stays on as Wonder Woman.

I don’t know if the problem was the acting, directing or a combination of the two but, while Cavill looked the part he didn’t act the part as Superman. He was dark, moribund and stiff. He lacked the brightness, energy and optimism of Superman. I’d like to see him go and DC to start fresh, if that’s even possible at this point

Jordan would make a great Hal Jordan or Martian Manhunter.
And while not DC, should they ever reboot blade....he would be a great Blade.
BUT to get back on the Cavill train, it sucks he is out as Superman. He is/was a great MOS. Great looking, solid actor, and looked like Supes. The issue is not that WB/DC didn't like Cavill, it is that he has gotten so popular it's scheduling conflicts. Opposed to just trying to shoot around him, DC of course makes drastic decisions.

I agree with you, but it hurts me to even speak about a Captain America replacement. Chris Evans is the only Cap for me. Perfection.

Getting rid of Cavill makes sense when compared to every other decision in the line of poor decisions DC makes.

I agree. Personifing the character requires a deep understanding of American history and culture. Casting someone else would be like casting an American to play James Bond.

I hear Idris Elba is going to be the next Bond.

You mean like this guy????
Barry Nelson in this 50s TV adaptation as "James 'Jimmy' Bond" (he wore a leather jacket, too IIRC). He is credited as the first onscreen Bond and is decidedly not British.

Roger Moore actually suggested Cuba Gooding Jr for 007.
