Who is releasing this Iron Man

sorry about the confusion. i was wrong about it being metal. i asked around another forum, and the answer i got is that the statue will be the same, but the edition number for the US and japan MIGHT be different. the japanese version is more expensive and is scheduled for august'08, while the US is for november'08.

That's quite a big price gap there.

The only thing that I can come up with is that it's a distribution matter. I'd imagine more of these will be released in the U.S. than in Japan.

If the U.S. distributor were different than the Japanese distributor, I'd wonder if there was going to be a difference in materials, like the difference between Hasbro's Transformers (plastic) and Takara's (die-cast metal). It seems like Kotobukiya's the distributor in both countries, though.

Anyway, a difference in the release numbers for either country is my best guess.

its iron man and i am getting it. wasnt sure when i first looked. dont like the name on it but it lights up and is in scale with the bowen and hard hero statues. love it.

my wife will probably break her neck shakeing her head on this. i already have 5 fs and i will get the new one from bowen when it comes out and i have all the mini busts that came out last year with hulkbuster coming soon. she will hate me.

so when this come out and bowens comes out ath will be 7 with hopes of at least the silver centurion armor coming. 8 is a great display
