Now a Mac User
Well i just purchased my first Mac. My former business partner was a MAC user from day one and I have always liked their design. So today I joined the ranks of MAC user.
i picked up a 27-inch 16.9 LED backlight display 2560 x 1440 pixels with a 3.06 GHz Intel Duo processor. Its got a wireless blue tooth keyboard and mouse.
Plan on installing a Parallel so that I can run Windows 7 which in turn will enable me to run AutoCAD. Have to say the screen is pretty amazing.

You would be better off using boot camp to run auto cad then parallels. Parallel is a emulator to run windows, then you will be running a program off that.
With boot camp you can partition the HD to run windows and just install all your programs into that.
Example: on my Macbook Pro (320 gig HD), i split the HD into 250 gigs for OSx and 70 gigs for XP. So when ever i want to use XP i hold the "option" key on boot up and two icons appear. One OSx and the other XP and can boot up the computer like its a PC without any emulation.
Example 2; on my Mac Pro i have 4 HDs in the tower, one HD is XP only so no partition needed.
Its also possible with FireWire 800 you may be able to make a external HD into XP. Not sure on that but can find info somewhere on the discussion boards on the Apple site.
Edit; only downside with bootcamp is its either you run OSX or XP, cant have booth at the same time like a emulation.
So congratz and enjoy the ride!

Have to say Jess that so far I am impressed. Only one cable. Keyboard and mouse are blue tooth. Going to investigate sourcing a printer with blue tooth connectivity. Also with built in wifi so no cables to routers required.
