What We Do in the Shadows - Season 2

Colin Robinson's energy vampire segments feel a little disjointed at times from the rest of the show, but it's still hilarious overall. 8/10

I imagine this radical take on events after the graphic novel got a polarizing reception from comic book fans. I thought however that it was near perfect. 9/10

Yes I have slept. However while working from home I have figured out you can finish a 22 episode season in two days, so figure 3 seasons a week as long as meetings don't interrupt too much.

Its insane how much TV you can watch while doing paper work lol.

Mrs. America (2020) FX on Hulu: 6/10

"'Mrs. America' tells the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and the unexpected backlash led by a conservative woman named Phyllis Schlafly, aka "the sweetheart of the silent majority."

I really wanted to like this more. I adore Cate Blanchett. She may be my most favorite modern actress. To her credit, I loved her portrayal of Phyllis Schlafly because she never fails me. And I enjoy the other actresses in the series. The series tried to be timely, but seems to fall flat.

I do wonder what watching this series as a man would be like, one who is more close-minded/old school. My husband only watched one/two partial episodes with me and he thought just like me - these women would benefit from the ERA, so why not support it? Especially Schlafly who is no slouch and was a highly educated woman and passionate about foreign affairs/government. I understand how presently the ERA would maybe have less teeth, but back then it was huge to help women who wanted/needed support.

Next up...Justified

Justified is one of my top 10 shows of all time. Just so good. While Olyphant was great in Deadwood, he takes it to another level in this show.

First and only Season was an 8 for me. Though I hear a season 2 is coming, unfortunately it'll a different creative team.
