and it would sell like crazy. just as many MK fans have been waiting for classic MK statue representations as there were for the SF market, hence the high price tag on the aftermarket for figures that resembled the old outfits

Yeah, I think Ultimate MK versions would have been best. I have to say that overall I am a bit dissapointed. Regular version is cool but I still did not get as excited as I thought it would.

This peice doesn't really deserve to be sought after in the secondary market. Its just an 'I'm ok with it' kind of peice.

Yeah I too wanted the UMK versions more especially, Scorp, Sub 0, Shang Tsung(UMK look the best!)
Congrats' to all of those who wanted this; the COH is a little TOO 'tooney' for my tastes.

FYI, I think 1000 is way too many Scorpions too, especially since it is his new costume. I predict this will be around for a while and will sell under retail on Ebay if you want to wait. Look at Guile - a more popular game series, classic costume, and less edition size yet he still sells for less than retail on Ebay.

willing to bet the quantity wasnt fully Jerry's call and the game developer had a say in it. plus the license was likely expensive and required more to sell to make money. I dont think selling these will be a problem since people have been wanting MK statues for a long time

I still think you guys are in the minority in wanting the classic look. going back to the original game the look of all the characters were pretty boring. also being the first in the series this will be a hot one as the series builds and people want to go back to get it.

I agree with some others I didnt even recognize the statue on the preorder with the EX head. I also thought it was some ghost rider statue and almost over looked it

Just thinking of the regular edition, how great it looks with all the attention to detail and a great sculpt, great action pose, the awesome base, I'd really be surprised if you can find this guy six months after he is released selling for retail price or below. I don't see that happening at all. This is one of the coolest video game statues ever made, IMO.
