This is a very nice designed sculpted painted statue. I don't consider it expensive. Steve Schumacher and Chie Izuma did a splendid job on it.

looks ok, I just skip this scale except for a few exceptions. Great for comic fans who like the cover art.

Totally agree! This statue is DOPE!

Leaning on getting it just so that I can add this to my JSC Spider-Man collection. MJ, Gwen, Felicia and Peter have been by themselves for far too long.

$350.... Pushing it but would be worth it. Not worth $500+.

Most I will do is $400 for this. Alice in Wonderland is $400 and I am guessing they will be around the same size.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Why do you suppose they went so small?
Neither character is standing. The Little Mermaid is 9.5" tall. Alice is 13.5" tall and sitting on something that looks higher than this couch.

There are two figures instead of one.

I'm not saying Sideshow prices don't get insane, but I'm surprised people are finding this one that outrageous.

It comes down to what you're getting for your money. Do you want a 1/5 statue that's almost the price of a PF, or would you rather buy a PF? Price increases are making people increasingly more picky about what they buy so I don't blame anyone for thinking twice about this after seeing the price. There's a lot of stuff out there by a lot of companies, and that $500 price tag is going to be in competition with a lot of other statues around the same price range with more bang for the buck.

The only thing I would argue is if the PF had two characters in it the price of the PF would probably double.

True, but I'm not comparing this to a PF with two characters. At $500, this is competing with everything around that price range. If someone buys half a dozen statues a year at around $500-600 a piece, is this 1/5 statue going to make the cut with everything else available in this hobby at a similar price?
