Been a fan of Leo Tolstoy's classics for over 20 years now. 
I had to pick a foreign writer for a report in Junior High, and he was who I picked.. gotta love them Russians.  Dostoevsky's excellent, also; the Russian mindset is an interesting machine.

Had to take a break from John Brunner's Stand on Zanzibar, not because it's bad, but because it's so dense. After several weeks of bedtime reads, I was only about 250 pages into it.
So I went with Cormac McCarthy's The Road and whizzed right though it. What a book! I'm a big fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, and many of those novels contain a glimmer of hope for humanity. Well, not this one. We are truly witnessing the end of the human race (and no, that's not a spoiler).

I just started reading an awesome series called "Clifford, The Big Red Dog." Still working through the first book but I'm sure I'll finish it sometime soon.

After seein all the Reco's here.. I picked up Day by Day Armageddon by JL Bourne and m in 85 pages.. It's really good, fast and thrilling... m also reading book 2 of wheel of time series (the great hunt ) and The Girl who kicked the hornet's nest..

well apparently in about 3 months I am going to have to go from NA to Cork, Ireland, then to Munich, then to Singapore, then to Japan, and then back home. So obviously I am going to need some good reading material. A friend suggested reading the Dresden Files books. Anyone agree these are good to read?
