The Commander Cody statues are nice enough.
I will wait for Sideshow to make a PF Commander, it's 1/4 instead of 1/5 and Sideshow also makes bases that make there statues more interesting.
That black base is as uninspireing as what Gentle Giant comes up with.
I am interested in what Attakus comes up with for the new Boba Fett statue and the Scout on Speederbike.

Simply perfect... painting, poses... must have both!
Attakus statues are more a piece of art, while sideshow tends to produce toys... i love the black bases (as with the lotr weta line)... brings character design full attention.
Looking forward to the new Boba.. verjoyed:

yeah buzzie I agree with you on the base.
Attakus' bases make it looks like a museum piece. Also - its very clear all pieces are part of the same collection.
I really hate the grievous base for obvious reasons.

The Base on the PF Uruk Hai Berserker makes that statue that more interesting.
That statue would not have been the same with a simple base such as an Attakus base.
Sideshows 12" figure line is close to a toy than a collectible.
The Sideshow PFs and maquettes are far from what is considered a toy.

Grievous is an amazing piece but yeah I hear ya on the base. Sad that they had to break from the norm on that one. Made no sense.
As for Attakus pieces being compared to Sideshow PFs I see them as 2 different styles completely. Each are great in their own way. There is something about a fully sculpted Attakus piece though that I prefer. I also think 1/5 scale pieces display together much easier and I like the universal black bases myself. Unlike Gentle Giant's black slab they look very classy.

So, there's hope for Snowtrooper, AT AT Driver, Sandtrooper Corporal to complete the set.....in a far, far away future but the chance is there!
