Batman Black and White: 2nd Edition question

ok, I get confused every time I try to figure this out. How can you tell the difference between a first edition and the second one again?

Look out for #1. Don't step in #2 either.

The second edition usually has a white rimmed base instead of black, and a minor tweak here and there.

First edition

Second edition

the base is the easiest to catch. Usually the bat logo will change (but not always)...so just stick with looking at the base

This is very helpful. I was looking at bat logos, flipping them upside down, right side up, black and white.

I got it now.

I heard that the 1st editions are true B&W where as the 2nd editions are Grey-scale.

That's true for the 2nd Edition Harley Quinn, but in general all the statues are a mix of white, black and gray tones. Sometimes they modify the paint a bit (adding some white highlights to the Mignola statue, reversing the shading of the Bermejo Joker's outfit) but usually the changes are more subtle.

The main thing to look out for is the reversing of the Black & white on the base

Most likely the second edition won't be numbered either
