H.M.O. Collectibles - Capcom's Darkstalkers Felicia (White Edition) 1/4 scale

Photo's taken minutes after the piece had been assembled, under natural daylight.

Felicia arrived yesterday. I was shocked, as I opted for ocean (rather than air) shipping, as the price was $200 lower. ETA 6 weeks (possibly longer)
From H.M.O. to my doorstep was 20 days.

All in all I am super happy with the piece. Paint lines look tight. Using the supplied assembly instructions, the piece went together relatively easy.
I would advise adding the tail before attaching the portrait, as attempting to add the tail with the portrait in position proved to be impossible.

The stacked pillow design base weighs a ton. It's XM Studio's level heavy. Felicia feels light by comparison.
The portraits with their large hair appear to be made from the same light weigh material as used for the recent Sideshow Collectibles Power Girl PF

Felicia's white detachable dress appears to be made from soft rubber complete with zipper on the back.
I can see this remaining in the box.

All 3 portraits look excellent. Switching the portraits out means having to detach the re_attach the two wavy blue pieces.
I am not too sure how many times the blue wavy pieces would survive being detached, re_attached. H.M.O. could have included 3 pairs of wavy blue pieces.

For anyone that's interested to know, Felicia keys into the base via a thick resin peg though which is a meaty metal rod.
There should be no worries with regards to leaning.

-

If i wanted to be hyper critical..
Felicia's look amazing, as they are not decals. There appear to be made from a clear substance.
By comparison, the 4 cats on the base have paint/decal eye's. It would have look so much better if H.M.O. had added clear eye's to the cats. On the subject of the cat's eye's, the pupil's should be vertical lines.
If you are going with round pupil's (which they did) the black pupil's should be larger.

The position of 4 tassels on the lowest pillow means having to lift the statue vertically.
If you tilt the base while lifting, chances are, a tassel will break off. Be careful

Michael Myers Deluxe 1/6th Figure by Sideshow Collectibles

Michael Myers arrived yesterday (..my waitlist converted, which i never thought it would)
Another figure to add to my line-up of 1/6th scale horror characters.

I often watch YouTuber DeanKnight333 and it never ceases to amaze me how some collectors can be obsessive about one character.
When it comes to knowledge on Michael Myers, Dean possibly ranks as no.1

As a casual fan, i think the Sideshow figure looks excellent! Dean might point out that the hair-line is not quite correct, and he is probably right.

I took some photo's and edited some of them in PS in an attempt to recreate that 1978's look.

If i wanted to be hyper picky, i might mention that i thought Myers arms look on the short side.
I might also mention that his shoulders are possibly too wide compared to the movie Myers.

As for the pose i went for. I was too lazy to try other posses ;D

For the moment, the only other 1/6th scale horror character i might add to the collection is Freddy Krueger

Agreed, if I did not know better I would think those were shots from filming.

Thanks
For the black & white shots, i simply desaturated the image and upped the contrast.

He's Behind You!!!

Taking a still from the movie and a shot of Myers, using Photoshop i merged the two. Maybe the pose does not quite fit the moment.
Sideshow should offer a Laurie Strode 1/6 figure. Myers receives most of the attention, even although Laurie probably get's more screen time.

Bruce Lee Tribute Statue ver. by BLITZWAY 1/4th Scale Statue

I have always wanted a Bruce Lee piece to add to the collection. The original Blitzway piece (with the classic yellow outfit) have long
sold out. At one point i considered picking up a Hot Toys 1/6 figure. In the end i decided on the Bruce Lee Tribute Statue ver.4 by BLITZWAY

Bruce arrived yesterday all the way from brucelee.com
I took the shots above this morning at around 9am, as the sun was still rising.

First impressions: EXCELLENT!

Bruce arrives 100% assembled in the box. Just need to attach the base.
Size-wise, Bruce is at the larger end of 1/4 scale (slightly larger than a standard 1/4 piece from Sideshow Collectibles)

Head-sculpt looks excellent, as do the arms, and hands, all painted well. The paint finish on the skin areas looks slightly shiny which works well,
as Bruce tends to fight in a hot climate.

Bruce's eye's are 100% on point. Which is so important. Googly eye's would have destroyed the entire piece.

Both the white vest and blue/grey trousers/pants are made from fabric and look well tailored.

The nunchakus look nicely weathered, and the real metal chain looks weathered also.

The base is what it is, and suits the statue. The material with it's grey finish appears to be the same material Prime 1 use.
It tends to feel lighter than the material used on the actual statue it's self.

The statue ships with a gold imperial guardian lion statue (not pictured)

From what i can tell, the piece is not numbered?
Is that a Bruce Lee thing or a Blitzway thing, or an error?

If i wanted to by hyper-picky, then i might mention Bruce's thick ankles. It is no big deal.
