Statue Selling Questions

Hi Everyone,

Hope I'm posting this in the correction section.

Been out of the hobby for quite a few years and I'm looking to sell a good portion of my collection. However, it's now 2023, inflation is on the rise, people are desperate, and there are plenty of scammers out there and I'm not looking for a headache.....which is why I'm avoiding eBay for now.
Before I sign-up for Adamantium Membership, what's the marketplace on this forum like now? Safe? Mostly good and honest people?

Any new tips you can provide me based on your selling experiences?

Whatever help/advice the community can provide me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you so much!

We, the mods, have had very few complaints on selling via the Adamantium membership. However, personally, I feel as a seller you still get the best prices via eBay. Buyers here seem to want especially low prices as it?s one collector selling to another.

I've previously used the Facebook group "Marvelous Statues Buy, Sell, Trade"...only put up one statue to sell, but I got several bites right away and it was a smooth transaction.

Ebay group? Is that a new thing I'm not aware of, or do you mean facebook group?

I don't sell much, but the idea of selling on ebay makes me procrastinate for those that I do. I'll have to check that group out. Thanks.

I need to start downsizing my statue collection. Are ebay/mercari and facebook groups really the best options? Any other options out there?

I’ve always wondered what it would be like to try and sell my huge statues. I dread the day i have to utilize eBay just because they favor buyers so much it borders on unfair. So trying to sell a thousand dollar piece that’s flawless but can be complained about virtually any time after delivery doesn’t sit well with me.

What I don't understand about a lot of statues on eBay is that so many of them are cracked, scuffed, chipped, etc. while commanding a ridiculously high price. ("Like New!") What the heck are these sellers doing with their statues? I personally set mine up and never so much as touch them ever again. I only look at them from that day forward.
