The Stinger couldn't find it either and I had it set to the highest setting. I just don't see how this thing can be hiding from everything.

No plug in. Hidden temp files maybe...I've all but nuked the hard drive and it's still there. I think it is just very cleverly made to not look threatening to any sort of scans. Oddly enough the attack sites it sends me to, load me up with pretty basic viruses that are easily dealt with.

Have you looked in your start up files for some ridiculously named files? Something like "mzjsjfdhf" under user startup. Try typing "msconfig" into your run bar. Go to either the "boot" or "startup" tab (the name depends on the Operating system). Should list all your start up files.
if you disable a bad file you might be able to stop it from starting, run a virus scan, and find it that way.
