'Fly's NYCC 2010 Haul

Hey guys,

I saw all of you posting your NYCC hauls, so I figured I join in the fun.

I'm new to purchasing original art, and giclees, but I did pickup 1 of each while at the show.

The first thing that grabbed me was this Alex Ross giclee. I just couldn't quit looking at it. I got the framed version, and it comes with a matching (but much smaller) framed sketch of the painting. This a pic I found of it, because I zoned completely out and forgot to photograph it, lol!

My first giclee

I looked at a TON of art while I was there, including some outstanding commissions and pages from JadeGiant (Buzz WWH commssion), Galactus(Ron Lim pages...damn you!), and Alex (awesome Bi-Beast!). I was contemplating a commission or two, but couldn't bring myself to do it, but I did find this piece which I fell in love with immediately. This is only my second (second and third?) original art purchase. I only buy art if it grabs me by the balls, or by the heartstrings. This one got me by the latter.

It's the cover art for the Soulfire #6 Wizard World LA edition. I really bought it just for Soulfire, but the Malikai is a nice addition.

Now I've just got to finish paying it all off, lol!

Thanks! It's actually one cover. I'll probably put both pieces in one frame with this in-between:

Way to start your collection off with a bang! Nice Turner pick-up.

I'd kill for that Black Panther Storm cover.
