Especially visible in the details of the base. The skull is only half. And the markings are flat.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that some of these photos on Twitter look very fish-eyed, but you can't deny poorly painted eyes in a photo this large.

Those eyes though! I’ve seen better paint on my Diamond select statues! I’m not a very picky person, but when we are talking $1,500, the final product better be 99.9% close to the prototype. I’ll still hold my breath until more pictures come out, but for now I will hold back my tears.

I applaud them for showing the proto vs final product. It looks like a typical downgrade...it's getting really hard to justify paying these prices when the downgrade is so severe. You can likely find someone in the US (or whichever local country you are in) to do a paint job at the proto level for ~2k if it was an unpainted kit.

There's a YouTube review out on this..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQSK0i34fe8&t=692s

Reviewer doesn't bring up anything bad about the face and the paint does look quite good. I'll be keeping my PO.

I have their old Lara Croft piece and aside from the 1:4 vs 1:5 scale controversy it is an amazing piece.

That's horrible and I'm so glad I canceled her.

Cancellation is the only way to go, unfortunately. Such a poor paint. Did they use hands or feet?
My first, and hopefully my last disappointment of this year.
I own their previous Lara. Her portrait isn't as good as the proto, but, at least, it's very well painted.

Great review, natural lighting helps. This looks pretty good, I honestly like everything, and my only negative is Lara?s face (mainly her eyes) looks wonky, but with all the other stuff, and the fact I?ll have this displayed where she isn?t directly facing me means I am happy so far. Better than those other pictures, that?s for sure.

This is the only screenshot from that video that matters to me. I cannot get past that this is a portrait on a $1500 statue.

The shot does not look great, but that's also some pretty bad lighting to make a clear call.
