I’m thinking there is no such thing as a real plan with this stuff. We never know the size of what we might like until we see it. And if we had unlimited funds and super large rooms we would then still overbuy because we had the funds and space bringing us back to we’re we are now..it’s a vicious cycle. We are just fancy art statue hoarders..let’s be real..lol
But I wouldn’t have it any other way..I like what I like.

I?ve always had this vision of creating a small section for each of my 5 or so favorite characters that would consist of a nice statue of them along with a piece of original art and a nice CGC slab of one of their more relevant comics. I have the individual pieces of several, but have just never gotten out of the planning stage otherwise.

Me !

I haven't set up my display yet. Someday...

I keep on getting 1:10, 1:7, 1:6, 1:5, 1:4, 1:3 Scale statues and busts... I have no idea how all of them will fit together. I hope i can figure out something when the Time comes.

I am 100% guilty. Buy now, think where to place it later.

I keep on buying new bedsheets, to cover all those statues that don't fit inside my 'too small' cabinet.

I have to have at least a general idea of where a piece will be displayed before I purchase anything. That's one of the reasons why I'm always interested in correct dimensions and comparison pics.

Indeed. The flip side of that is when you've regularly exercised the willpower to conform the senses to reason, coming back to this forum and seeing the normal hype for most pieces, feels so over the top for me. I mean I still have a pulse, and I can get excited over a piece, but I don't care anymore to invest in that kind of energy into the preorder phase.

At this point, my tastes are such that most pieces won't make the cut, unless they satisfy most of my most personal criteria, which discards all external factors like, character B has to be bought because I already have character A, or "I'm glad Company even made C-list character at all, buy 2-3 copies to support production of the D-lister"

One character statue is good enough to carry the franchise or theme for me. Having things on preorder isn't a thing for me anymore. Catching up on what's new, a few days a month is enough for me.

The sculpt, paint, scale, price has to come together as always. No second hand, not worth the headaches, unless it's old stock from a reseller. If I miss out, there's always something else coming out.

Just got a new row of shelves. I figured I needed it as I have two big statues coming in next year. Not really sure if I'm goign to get any more big statues, but that would seem enough for me.
