Perseus!!! Ehren is doing it again!!!!!!

Guys,

We have just commissioned Ehren Bienert to sculpt for ARH Studios two new pieces, Perseus and King Arthur of Camelot!

He just started, but we can already see here that Perseus will be another killer sculpture!

The design for the pose was done by Ehren that envisioned the hero sneaking up on Medusa right before the fatal strike in which he chops her head off!

This piece will be the first one to come in a full diorama where Perseus is walking down some cool marble stairs inside Medusa's lair!

It will be cool to watch the progression of this piece, especially after what we've seen on the American Heroes sculpted by Ehren!

Thanks Ehren!

Yep match this with Medusa and you have a winner. Promising start. Remember he cannot look directly at her LOL.

I would love to see how the 2 would pair up together. Just a query, shouldn't the shield be at face level and him looking straight into the shield? This is so he can cut off the head by looking into the reflection.

At least that was what I read.

He could be reversing down the stairs.

I thought that at first myself..but just think how that would look..
Arch of back would be focused down not up, same goes for your knees. Also look at the feet. (think of it when you climb stairs) his left foot is planted and the right looks to be in an upward (pushing) motion..he looks to me more like he is climbing stairs and looking back...JMO.

Have someone stand at the foot of a set of stairs, facing away from you. Now, pretend you're trying to sneak up behind them without them hearing you, and you want to be able to turn your head away at a moment's notice, and also be able to run back up the stairs away form them. This is exactly that position, as you tiptoe down the stairs, putting the lead foot down on it's toe to find where the stair is (you're watching your target, not where you're stepping), and then you'll rest your heel down.
