I love the idea of this as a limited once a year sale, not a ongoing thing, just a little themed event with drops.

It would be better if they showed a bunch of proto and then did open runs on them during the sale to make it most fair..

We have different sculpts for these statues, order away at your convience..whatever sells is what the edition size is.. some logistics, but would be a fun one off sale.

The nice thing about these statues, as collector's items, is that they're offered as a complete item, with a limited edition size. Start offering optional parts and that feeling will diminish along with the already declining aftermarket prices.

I don't own any collectible that I'm wishing would have "new life breathed into it."

You mean the factories have the technology. Sideshow and P1 (and others) aren’t manufacturing them, they contract to a factory to do it.
