I started standing in line at Walmart at 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon. About 15 people ahead of me. 10 hours later I walked out of the store with a new Xbox 360!

I'm getting one next year when they drop the price for christmas. It is all hype right now and is pointless. It is really cool but is not limited and will always be available.

Ain't that the truth. I used to be a die-hard gamer in high-school and a bit in college. Once I hit law school and then started working, my interest in games all but died.

I'll definitely buy ANY Nintendo system made, though. I can always find time for a new Zelda game (my all-time favorite).

I think my love of games really died once it became difficult to get together a group of friends to play. It was fun to hang out with my friends and play videogames. We now all have serious jobs and live in different states. I do LOVE the prospect of online gaming just to compete against others. I was always better than all of my friends, except one.

On an unrelated note, the local news showed some people getting into a fistfight at the local Wal-Mart over one.

My Mother and I were able to sell both of ours, and make a hefty profit.

i bet PS3 is gonna cost $500. then i wanna hear the 360 haters say its too expensive. i personally don't care, and will probably end up with both at some point. even if i have to wait till a price-drop, or used system.

Good for you man. I just don't get those dumb asses that HAVE to have it first day and will pay anything for it. Wait till Dec 26th and the stores will be packed.
But I can't say to much, I took advantage of the masses during the release of PS2. Made $1500 on one of them.

I'm more annoyed by the added DRM because the Blu-Ray playback feature. Like most HDTV owners, my set won't work because Sony is too worried about piracy to allow the high def signal to go over composite cables (or is it component, I'm too lazy to look it up right now). I don't have HDCP built into my tv as required, so I'd have to buy a new tv.

So no high def for the PS3 (for me anyways).

"Mandatory HDCP encrypted output" for Blu-Ray:

HDCP causing problems already:
