A conclusion is simply the place where you got tired of thinking.

What I'm shocked about is that SS kept it that way. They usually do try to fix seams, if even just a little bit.

I do stick to my statement of her looking damn good though. It's a really great statue with an unfortunately managed attachment point.
So does that mean Sideshow was intentionally trying to deceive customers in order to get them to PO this piece?

I can't claim that 100%, but I believe so. The statue was fully sneaked on SS in April and had no sign of the neck seam. SDCC pictures were posted in July in the SDCC thread - with the neck seam in alllll it's glory.

I can't recall if SS usually have production pieces of statues that quickly. I don't think they do, but that's just my opinion.

But overall I find it very telling that SS has NOT updated the statue's page to say "Production Piece" shown. They still have the Proto pics up. They know it's a bad look. Shame too bc the rest of the piece is so great.

That's exactly where they are. Page 1.

And it's sad to look thru the photos because the beautiful Psylocke is there too

It looks more like a crack in the statue than a simple seam.... I could tolerate a thin seam but that is a bit extreme...

Saw pics from the website...
Saw out of the box...
Saw this YouTube at 10:25...

Feeling disappointed... cancel button is tempting...

Need ssc to check if they even put in the coh correctly and confirm that there is no gap issues.

So.. her face changed.. the seam didn't go away or appeared worst.. and her stomach isn't flat by her jeans like in the original pic...

I thought this was Kucharek Bros and planning for awesomeness...

Why do these things on an original piece? It is as though someone at SideShow says... "she looks too good... make her subtly less attractive with issues for production!"

sad, sad day... cancelled...

The production molds might be off a bit which messes up everything... I can only guess that SS gets a discounted price from the factory if the statues don't come out right and that might be why SS sells them anyways instead of insisting the factory fix the issues.. With SS it's profit margins first then quality of statue... And why not, seems there are lots of collectors that are willing to buy these statues with the flaws... And before I get jumped on yes SS can also produce high quality statues....

But based on the unboxing video I would say this statue is not one of them..

I have been trying to be patient and hold judgement on this until the piece actually comes out. The unboxing video with the obvious gap? Fail. Convention pictures with a gap? Fail. So those of us interested in this piece need to hold hands in a sign of faith and sing kumbaya my Sideshow, kumbaya? So who dropped the ball? The project manager? Or will everything be ok and it really is the marketing teams fail? Amateur hour at the Sideshow offices....not happy....
