Wolverine by Chris Stevens (yes, another one)

I have a Wolverine already from Chris Stevens: http://comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1049971
But that one is marker and unmasked.

I know Chris does killer oil paintings so when my turn for a commission came up, I asked for one and another Wolverine, but this time a masked Wolverine in his newer costume and in full color.

I guess I don't have to say it anymore that this guy can draw. My jaw hit the floor when I opened the package and saw this:

This one is 14 x 18 inches oil painting on masonite board.

Needless to say, this one is off to a framer soon.

Thanks again, Chris! You always exceed my expectations!

Feel free to comment here, guys: http://comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1201880

Congrats on the beautiful painting! Chris absolutely kills it with these commissions and I hope to get an oil painting someday.

GREAT painting – congrats Martin! I love my Stevens painting so I when I read your thread title I was hoping that it would a new painting by Chris. Welcome to the club of CS painting owners. I know you are thrilled as I remember what I felt when I saw my painting. I love Chris Stevens art – there is so much to look at. I was immediately drawn to the Wolverine figure (good choice on the suit) but quickly my eye was also drawn to the background. Chris is great with colors and balance – the sun in the background is a great contrast with the snow and provide great depth for the piece.

That is incredible. Reminds me of the old Marvel Trading Cards.

I have been on his list for awhile. How much are these paintings go for?

You should get one. I don't think I've ever heard anyone disappointed with what Chris delivers.

I'll let Chris answer that but trust me it's worth every penny.
