Great update on King Conan from Paul on their live chat. Tackled the paint issue of gold on black honestly in my opinion and are actively seeking to ease any issues people may have. Glad the silly 'too tanned' issue was brushed off as that would be the look of a weather beaten , aged man. Fully agree with the look of the skin tone.

Gold on black is not easy to do, for any experienced painter. When I painted the masters, the armor was the most labor intensive and to paint two was about eight hours. It's no wonder this piece took the time that it did due to the armor.
You really have one shot to get the gold smooth over black. If you work it to much you will get brush strokes which I was against when we were talking with the factory. I actually sent a video of me painting the gold on the black.
We do touch up a few areas before we send them out, but the factory really did a great job.

I am still amazed that this piece exists and I am fortunate enough to own it.
