The Living Weapon - Opena

Super pumped to pick up this beauty from Jerome Opena: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...16&GSub=170074

Unintentionally (and unfortunately) timed with the Iron Fist Netflix debacle, but I couldn't be happier to pick up this piece. This was the variant cover to #3 of Iron Fist: The Living Weapon by Kaare Andrews...an absolutely phenomenal display of storytelling and an amazing Iron Fist tale.

My First Opena piece too...absolutely thrilled with this one. Opena's attention to detail and composition is second to none. He's one of my favorite guys in comics these days!

Big thanks to Kwan for working with me on this one. Pumped to finally land something from Jerome!

Enjoy Folks!

That's a great cover!!!....and for the record I'm enjoying the IF series on Netflix. Six episodes in so far and I don't get the hate.

Thanks for the kind words, folks. I absolutely love everything Opena's done, so I'm thrilled with this one.

RE. The Netflix show - I think I just had higher expectations because of the more recent Iron Fist runs in comics. I thought Kaare's run was phenomenal and I just started reading the Aja/Brubaker run which has already proven to be an amazing read...I've also heard really good things about Greene and Walker's Power Man and Iron Fist, but the show seems to really tread in mediocre territory. I guess I just expected crazy kung fu action and tons of mysticism similar to the worlds AJA and Kaare created.
