The third pic shows the portrait and her upper half is going to be killer. I just hope the rest of the body sculpt will be just as great.
I'll definitely keep track of the progress of this piece.

I think skinny is good for her. Not a big fan of the more real life proportions girls that ss has been doing lately. I prefer to stick to comic style. This looks way better than the ss version. I always wanted a blackccat comic style thanks you XM! Please keep her comic style! Sure this will have some tweaking before release to make her near perfection. How about some small cats for the sour rounding base?

not a fan of the cat statue. She's black cat, we don't need her with a giant statue of a cat. It's not the usual XM way of thinking outside the box with that part.

I love the incline though and the pose it places her body in but I have no attachment to the cat itself. Looks like her hair might be covering most of her boobs though.
Reminds me of the original pose for Sideshow's J. Scott Campbell comiquette where she was lying down
I wonder what else could pose her the same other than the cat?

if they want to stick with that pose, I'd rather her be on a nice, detailed couch, rather then a cat. Unless they want to make that cat crystal? lol. That's the only way they could make that cat base really unique.

Fortunately, nothing I see so far is really grabbing my attention in the way that I would've liked. Black Cat is one of the few Marvel characters I'm willing to spend money on, so if I can avoid doing that, all the better.
Having said that, I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Interested to see what the final proto/design has to offer.

That concept was a gem; I'm still disappointed that they scrapped it.

I like the head sculpt but the base is so literal and almost cartoony at this point. It reminds me of '66 Batman. I'd rather see the character in a more relatable environment--such as on a roof ledge or burglarizing a mansion or bank vault. While sexy in concept, where in the heck would she find a giant cat statue, and why? Maybe in a museum, which is the only way I can see this coming together. The Cat could be Egyptian style and there could be a couple of artifacts and priceless paintings on the floor I suppose. I'll just keep watching and not jump to conclusions after an initial WIP.
One thing that does occur to me now, however, is a Spider Woman might not be too far behind. Would like to see both the Jessica Drew and Julie Carpenter version. Maybe a 2-pack.

Can't they make small bases? Do we really need another humongous base.

Hellz yes!!! While it has very little to do with her being a jewel theif and/or possessing hex powers -- I love the design.
Her face looks great! Womanly and sexy.
I'm a sucker for cats, so this was an easy sell for me. I do hope that big cat is NOT black. Perhaps green (like jade) as green looks good against black/white. Art deco-ish. Perhaps translucent green (like the phoemix) to add depth.
Man I am stoked for this piece!
