When shopping for my digicam, I found the following 2 websites very helpful:

1. Steve's Digicams - Check out his recommendations for "Best Cameras" (I am not Steve)

2. dpreview

I think digital SLRs have become quite reasonable now.

yeah I am thinkin on digital slr or at least a full body camera I dont care for the ones that dont look like cameras, I am still using my fujifine pix 3.2 mp but lookin to go to around 6 or so I am looking at
Panasonic Leica DMC-FZ7K
or something like that

looked at a few of the kodak's not too bad

Mine's a bit old, but I LOVE it, it's a Canon S45. That line of cameras is quite sturdy, reliable, good battery life, good quality. I love it.

It's also a SONY, not a Nikon. I've owned several Cybershots including the DSC-707, DSC-717 and the DSC-V1. I've enjoyed them all. The Carl Zeiss lenses are outstanding.
