They definitely hate us and take great delight in abusing us. They constantly keep information from us. They start new lines and once we heavily invest in them, they never finish the line. Rinse and repeat. Exhaust the wallets of us loyal pay pigs.

Yeah, I just disabled any add-ons but Sideshow still wasn't working. Must have been the new firefox update which changed something, hat to disable "advanced tracking protection" manually.

I could never have enough money to buy an entire line. Honestly i never thought of high end statues as "line" products --as in needing to collect them all. I've always picked and chosen the ones I really like. Hats off to anyone who can buy an entire line. I do understand there might be frustration if you feel your line is incomplete. For me i don't think I'll ever have that issue because i just can't haha.

They would continue lines if they sold well enough.... Any company would

Maybe this thread should have a year in the title. That way we can ask this same question again in 2025, 2026, 2027...etc...etc....

"Do not attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity."

TBH, that doesn't sound like hate just... laze and greed, which is typical of any company these days. They want to start three more sandwiches without finishing the ones they already started eating.

I don't believe the current price range is sustainable long term for as many and as varied a stable of products they put out. They are already doing less 1:3, but even the 1:4 pricing feels farfetched. A fair amount of the newer statues I would like from them would cost around or above 2k USD after shipping. I am not going to casually purchase a statue at that price point. That price point is reserved for things that have the capacity to be a centerpiece in my display.

I think people have been complaining about Prime 1 prices for years now. The Edition sizes keep getting smaller and I believe we are on the cusp of reaching a tipping point. My main reason for thinking along these lines is that they have constantly been forced to drastically cut down on Edition sizes because their initial projections for sales were too much of an overshoot. If they are overestimating demand that often on their products then something is wrong in their financial department.

Is it possible that it actually costs so little to produce these statues that as long as they sell only a small percentage of the amount they made that they still make a significant profit? Are they using a lot of 3d printing to make these??

What do you mean "a lot of 3D printing"? Most of these statues now are digitally sculpted and then a master tooling is 3D printed from which castings are made from various resin compositions for the production pieces.

If you are asking if factories are using 3D printers to create the production copies you take out of the box, no. Most statues we get are made of cheap polystone which is not a medium 3D printers can even use. Casting is much much cheaper and faster than any 3D printing.

I don't know what the cheapest way to get the statues finished in mass production, i would have thought using 3d printing would be less expensive, but I guess not.
